PDSA Thamesmead welcomes a qualified Veterinary Care Assistant to join our hospital team in London. You will support Veterinary Nurses and Surgeons, assist with day‑to‑day animal care, and help keep the hospital running smoothly while interacting with clients.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Veterinary Care Assistant Level 2 Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Experience working in a veterinary practice is required.
• Ability to stay calm, caring and professional in a busy clinic environment.

Responsibilities

• Support Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Surgeons with day-to-day care.
• Assist with animal handling following clinical guidance.
• Keep hospital areas and equipment clean, safe and hygienic.
• Help on reception, welcome clients and answer enquiries.
• Discuss appropriate financial contributions toward pet care with clients.
• Maintain a welcoming environment for pets, owners and colleagues.
