Job summary

Wyndham Park Infants' School in Salisbury is seeking caring Teaching Assistants and Lunchtime Support Assistants to join our education team. You will work with pupils to support learning, independence and wellbeing, including caring for pupils during break and lunchtimes.

You will collaborate with teachers and other staff to deliver activities, adapt support to individual needs, and help pupils access a broad curriculum in a safe, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• We are looking for caring, committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our education team.
• Supports pupils to achieve educational, social and emotional goals, including personal care and wellbeing needs.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils to access learning activities and the curriculum.
• Assist with developing academic, social, emotional and life skills.
• Promote pupil progress, independence and positive outcomes.
• Provide care and support as required, including personal care and wellbeing.
• Assist with basic medical needs and first aid where appropriate.
• Supervise and support pupils during lessons, break times and visits.
• Support activities meeting physical, emotional, behavioural and educational needs.
• Maintain health, safety and wellbeing standards and report safeguarding concerns.
• Supervise pupils in dining hall, playground and other areas at break and lunchtime.
• Promote positive behaviour and respectful relationships.
• Engage actively with pupils and support inclusion and wellbeing.
• Report accidents or illnesses to first aid staff promptly.
• Assist with dining area preparation and tidying as required.
