Kingdom People is seeking experienced Support Workers to join a growing team covering Horsham and surrounding areas. You will provide high-quality, person-centred care across various health and social care settings, supporting daily living activities and promoting independence.

We offer flexible shift patterns, including day and evening shifts, with competitive hourly pay and weekly BACS payments. Ongoing training and development are available to support your professional growth.

Formación

• Previous experience working as a Support Worker in health and social care.
• Enhanced DBS covering both Child and Adult Workforce.
• Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, complex needs or challenging behaviours.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider care team.
• High levels of emotional resilience, patience, empathy and understanding.
• Ability to remain calm, professional and proactive in challenging situations.
• Understanding of safeguarding, duty of care, confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• A flexible, reliable and responsible approach to work.
• Genuine commitment to promoting independence, dignity and person-centred care.

Responsabilidades

• Providing high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals across a variety of health and social care settings.
• Supporting individuals with their daily living activities, promoting independence and encouraging them to develop essential life skills.
• Assisting individuals with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, complex needs and challenging behaviours.
• Building positive and professional relationships with service users while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
• Supporting individuals to access the community, attend appointments and participate in meaningful activities.
• Encouraging social inclusion, independence, confidence and personal development.
• Responding appropriately to challenging situations, using effective communication and de-escalation techniques where required.
• Following individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
• Maintaining accurate daily records, incident reports and other relevant documentation.
• Ensuring the safety, dignity and wellbeing of the individuals you support at all times.
• You will be supporting individuals with a range of personal circumstances and support needs, so a patient, empathetic, reliable and consistent approach is essential.
