Kingdom People is seeking experienced and compassionate Support Workers to join our growing team in Brighton & Hove and surrounding areas. You will provide person-centred care across a variety of health and social care settings, supporting individuals with daily living activities and helping them gain independence.

We offer flexible shift patterns, weekly pay via BACS, holiday pay, ongoing training and development, and a supportive consultant team. A valid Enhanced DBS is essential.

Formación

• Previous experience working as a Support Worker within health and social care settings.
• A valid Enhanced DBS covering both the Child and Adult Workforce.
• Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, complex needs or challenging behaviours.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a wider care and support team.
• High levels of emotional resilience, patience, empathy and understanding.
• The ability to remain calm, professional and proactive when dealing with challenging situations.
• An understanding of safeguarding, duty of care, confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• A flexible, reliable and responsible approach to work.
• A genuine commitment to promoting independence, dignity and person-centred care.

Responsabilidades

• Providing high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals across a variety of health and social care settings.
• Supporting individuals with daily living activities, promoting independence and encouraging them to develop essential life skills.
• Assisting individuals with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, complex needs and challenging behaviours.
• Building positive and professional relationships with service users while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
• Supporting individuals to access the community, attend appointments and participate in meaningful activities.
• Encouraging social inclusion, independence, confidence and personal development.
• Responding appropriately to challenging situations, using effective communication and de-escalation techniques where required.
• Following individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
• Maintaining accurate daily records, incident reports and other relevant documentation.
• Ensuring the safety, dignity and wellbeing of the individuals you support at all times.
