Job summary

Voyage Care in Wakefield is seeking a caring Support Worker to help people gain more independence in daily life, with shifts including 8am–7pm or 8am–1pm and one sleep shift per week.

You will support individuals in community activities, outings to bars, pubs, cinema, and learning new life skills, while working with a friendly team. Prior experience isn’t required—your genuine care and willingness to learn are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in care is welcome, but a genuine passion to help others matters.
• Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends.
• Comfortable working in a team and supporting individuals with varying needs.

Responsibilities

• Support people to gain independence in daily life.
• Engage in activities and accompany them to local communities, bars, pubs, cinema.
• Be resilient and flexible when supporting individuals with distress, mental health conditions, autism, or trauma.
