Job summary

Routes to Work is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to provide person-centred care in North Lanarkshire. You will support individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and physical disabilities.

The role requires caring and empathetic nature, excellent communication, and flexibility for weekends/evenings. Sleepovers may be required; driving licence preferred. In-person work with competitive pay and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Care: 1 year (preferred).
• Full UK Driving Licence (preferred).
• Right to work with more than 6 months (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care: assist with daily activities as needed.
• Promote independence and support service users to live as independently as possible.
• Support daily living: meal prep, cleaning, shopping, and medication management.
• Offer emotional support, companionship and encouragement.
• Monitor and report health changes to senior staff.
• Assist individuals to access the community and attend appointments.
• Safeguard service users and follow safeguarding policies.
• Maintain accurate records of support provided and outcomes.
