Job summary

Dimensions is hiring a Support Worker to assist up to 10 autistic people and individuals with learning disabilities in their own bungalows. You will provide encouragement, companionship and practical support to help them lead independent lives.

Training will be provided to enable safe care, including assistance with personal care and mobility aids. You will work as part of a team and independently, with a flexible rota covering early/late shifts, sleep-ins and weekends.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and reliable person who enjoys building genuine relationships.
• Ability to work with autistic people and individuals with learning disabilities.
• Willingness to learn and follow training for safe care.

Responsibilities

• Support up to 10 autistic people and others with complex needs in their own bungalows.
• Provide encouragement, companionship and practical support with daily tasks.
• Assist with personal care and use manual handling equipment after training.
• Help with activities, appointments, shopping and outings as needed.
