Job summary

Dimensions Ltd in Darlington is seeking a Female Support Worker to assist two adults with autism and learning disabilities in living independently and with choice. You will provide person-centred support at home and in the community, helping them pursue activities they enjoy and maintain daily routines.

This role requires empathy, patience and the ability to adapt to diverse communication styles. Full training, including PBS, will be provided, with scheduling that includes sleep-ins where

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support tailored to individual needs.
• Understand and respond to individual communication styles.
• Provide emotional reassurance and consistent support.
• Assist with daily living activities, including cooking, shopping and managing finances.
• Provide personal care when required.
• Support community activities and social outings.
• Administer and record medication per protocols.
• Follow support plans, risk assessments and health plans.
• Promote independence, wellbeing, dignity and choice.
• Build positive relationships based on trust and consistency.
