Job summary

Advance Housing & Support Ltd in Redruth is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help customers with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs or mental health conditions live the lives they choose. You will join a caring team and provide practical support, personal care where needed and help people participate in everyday activities.

No prior care experience required. You’ll receive comprehensive training and induction, flexible hours, and opportunities to progress within Advance.

Qualifications

• No prior care or support experience required.
• You must be literate and numerate in English.
• Willingness and ability to achieve the Care Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene (if required)
• Medication administration (if required)
• Support with preparing and cooking meals
• Support with attending medical appointments
• Support with social activities
• Support with independent skills
• Support with domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry
• Keeping accurate records and updating care plans as required
• Keeping up to date with your training
