Job summary

Milestones Trust is seeking a compassionate, motivated female Support Worker to work across two services: Blackhorse House in Downend and Graeme Close in Fishponds. These transitional services support people with learning disabilities and autism to develop practical life skills and greater independence.

You will provide person-centred support with daily living tasks, personal care and health appointments, plus helping access the community to build independence.

Qualifications

• Experience is not essential.
• Training for personal care and moving and handling will be provided.
• Ability to work flexibly across two sites.
• Person-centred approach and compassionate nature.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living skills such as cooking, budgeting, and tenancy tasks.
• Provide personal care in line with individual support plans.
• Attend health appointments and follow health guidance.
• Assist with moving and handling where required.
• Support access to the community, transport, activities, education and work opportunities.
• Work with individuals to build confidence and independence.
