Job summary

The Bridge is seeking a compassionate Support Worker in Bradford to help adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs live safe, independent lives. You will provide practical and emotional support tailored to each person’s goals, building trust and promoting dignity and choice.

No prior experience is required, as full training and ongoing guidance are provided. You’ll join a welcoming team delivering person-centered support across daily living tasks, community activities and life

Responsibilities

• Supporting individuals with their personal care and daily routines
• Assisting with everyday tasks such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, and household activities
• Supporting individuals to take their medication safely and attend health appointments
• Encouraging meaningful activities, hobbies, social opportunities, and community involvement
• Providing reassurance, emotional support, and positive companionship
• Promoting independence, dignity, choice, and control
• Following individual support plans and agreed ways of working
• Supporting people to develop their skills and achieve their personal goals
• Responding calmly and positively when someone is experiencing distress
