Job summary

Southdown is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to help five adults with learning and physical disabilities live independently at Windebanks in Donnington, near Chichester. You will encourage clients to engage with the local community and support daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning and personal care, with full training provided.

Shifts include evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays across full time and part time slots; unsociable hours uplift applies and sleep-in arrangements

Qualifications

• Previous experience in care roles welcomed but not essential, full training provided.
• Ability to support daily living tasks and encourage independence.
• Empathy, patience and respectful interactions with adults with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Encourage clients to participate in community activities and social outings.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning and personal care.
• Support clients to build confidence, choice and independence in a supportive environment.
