Job summary

Southdown is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to help adults with learning disabilities live independently and with dignity at Lennox Court, Chichester.

You will support daily living tasks, enable community access, and join activities like walks, cinema trips, and café visits, with training provided. Full training is provided, previous care experience is welcome but not required, and DBS checks are funded by Southdown.

Qualifications

• Patience and empathy in care settings.
• Completion of Southdown’s health and social care training.
• Willingness to support intimate and personal care needs.
• Enhanced DBS check (paid by Southdown).

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to live independently with daily tasks.
• Encourage community activities and social engagement.
• Assist with cooking, cleaning, and personal care.
• Work at Lennox Court, with flexibility to cover other locations.
