Job summary

Sense is seeking a caring, enthusiastic support worker to join our residential service in Quadring, Spalding. You’ll work with disabled people with complex needs, supporting their independence and helping them take part in activities and community life.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this role, as you’ll help people get to appointments, attend activities and outings, and work closely with families and colleagues to provide consistent, person-centred

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; values and willingness to learn are valued.
• Experience supporting disabled people with sensory conditions is beneficial.
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support reflecting each person's needs, preferences and aspirations.
• Support people to make informed choices and maintain independence in daily life.
• Build meaningful relationships and understand each person's communication preferences.
• Identify and remove barriers to participation in everyday activities.
• Help people enjoy interests, maintain relationships, and engage with their communities.
• Support people to get to appointments, activities and community outings.
• Encourage independence while respecting each person's decisions.
