Job summary

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland Limited in Blantyre is seeking compassionate Support Practitioners to assist people in their own homes with daily living, including medication support, budgeting, housework, meals, cooking and personal care.

No prior care experience is required; training is provided, including a fully funded SVQ. The role can be full-time or part-time, and due to the nature of the role, only female applicants who drive with their own car will be considered.

Qualifications

• Empathetic and caring by nature.
• Good observation skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Comfortable using computers and basic digital tools.
• Able to work well in a team and independently.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals living in their own homes with daily living tasks, including medication and finances, housework, meals, cooking and personal care.
• Support engagement in hobbies and activities chosen by the people supported.
• Record observations and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
