Job summary

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is hiring a part-time Support Practitioner in Motherwell to help people living in their own homes with disabilities and additional support needs. Training is provided, including a fully funded SVQ, and weekend work is on a rotational basis.

We seek empathetic, observant applicants with good communication and computer skills, who can work well in a team or alone and stay organised while supporting daily living activities and personal care.

Qualifications

• Empathetic and caring nature required to support adults in own homes.
• Good observation skills and ability to use computers.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work well in a team and on your own.
• Strong organisational skills and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in daily living activities at home.
• Assist with medication and finances as needed.
• Help with housework, meals, and personal care.
• Support moving, handling and mobility as required.
• Encourage participation in hobbies and group activities.
