Job summary

Yorkshire Community Care is seeking a skilled Staff Nurse (Complex Care) to deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing in clients' homes across the region. You will manage clinically complex needs and collaborate with families and external healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective care.

The role requires current NMC registration, at least 2 years' post-registration experience in community or complex care, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with current NMC registration.
• Minimum 2 years' post-registration clinical experience, preferably in community/complex care.
• Proven competence in complex care: PEG feeding, catheter care, meds, respiratory support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with service users and families.
• Ability to assess risk and manage safeguarding.
• Organised, able to manage a caseload and work independently.
• IT literate with electronic and paper records.
• Committed to CPD and reflective practice.
• Flexible to occasional evenings or weekend duties.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred nursing care in client homes.
• Provide clinical support for complex needs (PEG, catheters, meds, wounds).
• Administer medications safely and maintain records.
• Monitor clinical condition and escalate when needed.
• Maintain accurate records for continuity of care.
• Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in audits, incident reporting and quality improvement.
• Contribute to training and mentoring of staff.
