Zusammenfassung

Yorkshire Community Care is seeking a compassionate Complex Care Support Worker (Driver) to provide person-centred support to adults with complex needs, including safe transport to appointments and community activities. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to promote independence, dignity and positive outcomes for service users.

Responsibilities include driving, personal care tasks, medication support and accurate record-keeping, with safeguarding and continuous professional development

Qualifikationen

• Experience supporting adults with complex needs or in similar care roles.
• Valid UK driving licence with entitlement for the vehicle used; clean driving record preferred.
• Knowledge of safe manual handling and willingness to undertake Moving & Handling training.
• Ability to administer or support medication in line with training and organisational policy.
• Experience managing tracheostomy and ventilation (CPAP).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with service users, families and colleagues.
• Reliable, flexible and able to travel between service locations and work early starts, evenings or weekends.

Aufgaben

• Provide safe, respectful, person-centred support aligned with care plans to promote independence and dignity.
• Safely drive service vehicles to transport service users to appointments and community activities.
• Assist with mobilisation and transfers using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Support personal care tasks while maintaining privacy and dignity.
• Administer or support medication according to policies and records.
• Contribute to assessment, care planning and review processes with timely observations and reporting.
• Maintain accurate records and logs, handovers and incident reports.
• Promote positive relationships with service users, families and external professionals.
• Adhere to safeguarding policies and cooperate with investigations.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, secure and well-maintained; report issues.
• Attend mandatory training, supervision and team meetings.
• Support a culture of equality, diversity and inclusion.
