Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Sous Chef to join Milton Court Care Home in Milton Keynes. You will support the head chef and lead a culinary team to deliver nutritionally balanced, high-quality meals within budget.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant catering qualification (City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or NVQ).
• Minimum 1 year of catering experience.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality culinary services to residents.
• Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef in leading a culinary team within budget.
• Prepare modified diets that look appealing and are well-balanced per IDDSI guidelines.
• Supervise and direct culinary staff; train unqualified staff on simple preparation activities.
• Ensure high hygiene standards through safe food handling.
• Support understanding of Avery Food safety management system.
