Job summary

Kerry Collins Recruitment is seeking compassionate Support Workers and Healthcare Assistants to join our team for in-home care, assisted living, and nursing home settings. You will deliver personalised care with dignity and respect, supporting seniors and individuals with dementia or health challenges.

Responsibilities include daily living tasks, medication administration, care planning with professionals, and providing companionship.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior or hospice care preferred.
• Ability to administer medications safely.
• Experience in home care or nursing homes beneficial.
• Strong communication and empathy with clients and families.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assistance with daily living activities, including personal hygiene and grooming.
• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health status, reporting changes to professionals.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and observations during shifts.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
