Job summary
Brendoncare Stildon in East Grinstead is hiring a Care Assistant on 24 or 36-hour contracts. You will provide person-centred care, develop supportive relationships with residents, and work closely with nurses to review care plans.
No prior care experience is required if you bring a caring, positive attitude and strong teamwork and communication skills. The role offers a charity-driven environment with extensive training, NVQ opportunities, and benefits.
Qualifications
- Experience in care is not strictly required, but a caring, positive attitude is essential.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
- Be reliable, committed and genuinely interested in supporting older people.
Responsibilities
- Support residents with personal care and daily living activities.
- Build relationships and provide companionship.
- Promote residents' physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
- Act as a Key Worker and assist with personalised care plans.
- Work with nurses and colleagues to deliver person-centred care.
- Support activities and encourage residents to stay engaged with interests.
- Keep accurate care records and report changes in wellbeing.
- Support residents' families and visitors with information and reassurance.
