Job summary

Quantum Scholars is looking for a patient, supportive and experienced SEND Tutor to provide personalised one-to-one educational support to young people in Leominster.

The role focuses on adapting teaching to meet individual academic, emotional and behavioural needs, supporting learners with barriers to mainstream education, including EOTAS or Alternative Provision, and working with parents and other professionals to promote confidence and independence.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• Experience providing one-to-one educational or tutoring support.
• Experience supporting learners with barriers to accessing mainstream education.
• Experience supporting challenging behaviour would be highly desirable.
• Experience in a school, tutoring, Alternative Provision, EOTAS or similar educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised one-to-one educational support to children and young people with SEND.
• Adapt lessons, resources and teaching approaches to meet individual needs.
• Support learners across subjects (English, Maths, Science or others) as appropriate.
• Identify gaps in learning and provide targeted support.
• Build positive relationships with learners and families and collaborate with parents/carers and other professionals.
