Job summary

Quantum Scholars is seeking a patient and experienced SEND Tutor to provide personalised one-to-one educational support for learners in Leominster, Herefordshire. The role focuses on supporting children with SEND, adapting teaching to individual academic, emotional and behavioural needs, and building positive relationships to promote confidence and engagement.

The role operates in-person, with emphasis on supporting learners who may face barriers to accessing mainstream education and working

Qualifications

Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
Experience providing one-to-one educational or tutoring support.
Experience supporting learners who have barriers to accessing mainstream education.
Experience supporting challenging behaviour would be highly desirable.
Experience in a school, tutoring, Alternative Provision, EOTAS or similar educational setting.
Ability to adapt teaching and support to individual academic, emotional and behavioural needs.

Responsibilities

Provide personalised one-to-one educational support to children and young people with SEND.
Adapting lessons, resources and teaching approaches to meet individual needs.
Supporting learners across the primary or secondary curriculum where appropriate.
Identifying gaps in learning and providing targeted support.
Building positive and trusting relationships with learners.
Collaborating with parents/carers and other professionals to support learners.
