Key duties include providing learning activities, planning and evaluating specialist activities, and assisting with personal, social, and health needs of pupils. Experience with SEND is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide learning activities for pupils with SEND under the direction of a qualified teacher.
• Plan and evaluate specialist learning activities with the teacher.
• Assist pupils with therapy or care programmes as required.
• Monitor, assess and report development and progress to the teacher.
• Support pupils’ personal needs and welfare, including social and health matters.
• Prepare, maintain and manage stocks of resources for learning.
• Escort and supervise pupils on activities and events as needed.
• Contribute to building an inclusive, safe learning environment.
