St Peter’s Catholic Academy is seeking a passionate Teaching Support Assistant to aid learning for pupils with SEND. The role requires a caring, nurturing approach and the ability to work under the guidance of teachers, collaborating with colleagues to uphold the Catholic ethos.
Key duties include providing learning activities, planning and evaluating specialist activities, and assisting with personal, social, and health needs of pupils. Experience with SEND is essential.
The Principal and Governors at St Peter’s Catholic Academy (rated ‘Outstanding’ in all areas with
‘exemplary’ behaviour, Ofsted October 2024) are looking to appoint a passionate and motivated Teaching
Support Assistant to work with teachers as part of a professional team to support teaching and learning for
pupils with SEND.
The SEND support assistant will provide specialist assistance to pupils who need particular help to
overcome barriers to learning, such as those with moderate, severe, profound and multiple learning
difficulties and/or behavioural, social, communication, sensory or physical disabilities.
