Five Education are seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support students with SEND at a well-resourced secondary school in Taunton. You will work 1:1 and in small groups, assisting pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and physical disabilities.

Driven by inclusion and wellbeing, you will adapt learning activities, support communication and emotional regulation, and collaborate closely with teachers and the SENDCo to monitor progress.

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEND, including autism, ADHD and speech/language needs.
• Calm, flexible and empathetic approach to supporting teenagers.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Genuine commitment to inclusion, wellbeing and positive outcomes for learners.

Responsabilités

• Provide 1:1 or small group support tailored to EHCP targets.
• Adapt learning materials and teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
• Support development of communication, emotional regulation and independent learning.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and the SENDCo to implement effective strategies.
• Supervise breaks and lunch to ensure wellbeing and inclusion.
