TeacherActive is working with a welcoming school in Chelmsford that supports pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people or adults with SEND or in education, care or support roles.
• Patient, caring and resilient approach essential.
• Strong communication and ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Confidence supporting pupils with diverse needs and ages.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with additional needs.
• Support pupils with learning, communication and engagement activities.
• Assist the class teacher with differentiated classroom tasks.
• Help pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills.
• Support pupils' emotional regulation and behaviour when required.
• Follow individual support plans and strategies.
• Create a calm, positive and safe learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, SEND professionals and support staff.
• Support pupils with personal care where required.
