Job summary

Alexandra House Support Services Ltd in North Wales is seeking a Residential and Respite Support Worker. You will provide person-centred care to adults with a range of needs across day and waking-night shifts, including sleep-ins, with duties across personal care, meals, medications, mobility and activity support.

Roles require willingness to commute between Prestatyn and Denbigh services, flexible shifts, and a commitment to safeguarding and accurate recording.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Have been in employment within the past 12 months.
• Be willing to work both day and overnight shifts.
• Be seeking work of up to 25 hours per week.
• Be willing and able to commute between Prestatyn and Denbigh services.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, continence care and personal hygiene.
• Support individuals with meals, nutrition, hydration and everyday household activities.
• Assist with medication in accordance with individual care plans, training and procedures.
• Support mobility, transfers and moving and handling with appropriate equipment.
• Assist individuals with learning disabilities, autism, complex health conditions and communication needs.
• Encourage independence and help develop everyday living skills.
• Plan and participate in meaningful activities, outings and community opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records and report concerns, handovers between shifts.
• Respond to emergencies and changes in individuals' needs as required.
• Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable living environment.
