Job summary

Qualifications

• Relevant venepuncture qualification/certificate.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and colleagues.
• Proven teamwork and compassionate patient care.
• Experience recording samples and maintaining logs.
• Understanding of infection prevention and safe handling of clinical waste.

Responsibilities

• Perform venepuncture safely following practice protocols.
• Obtain consent and label/package samples for transport to the laboratory.
• Maintain accurate patient records and specimen logs.
• Liaise with lab staff and nursing team.
• Support infection prevention and control procedures and safe disposal of waste.
