Job summary

Parklands Medical Centre in Rushden is looking for an experienced phlebotomist to join our busy GP practice. You will undertake venepuncture, ensure accurate labelling and prepare samples for transport, while delivering a professional, compassionate service to patients.

The post requires a recognised phlebotomy qualification, Basic Life Support, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Recognised phlebotomy qualification or equivalent training.
• Demonstrable experience in venepuncture and blood sample collection.
• Basic Life Support training.
• Relevant healthcare qualifications or experience in GP practice or clinical setting.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Accurate record-keeping and attention to detail.
• Caring, compassionate and professional approach to patient care.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Undertake venepuncture and collect blood samples safely and efficiently.
• Ensure accurate labelling, handling and processing of specimens.
