Job summary

Independent Lives in Lewes is seeking a kind and compassionate support worker to assist a 41-year-old man with an acquired brain injury in a family home. You will provide personal care, mobility support, and help with physiotherapy, PEG feed/medication, and community outings.

Hours include day shifts 8am-5pm, evenings 5pm-10:30pm, and one weekend day every 4 weeks, on-site. The role emphasises dignity, safety, confidentiality, and strong communication in English.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK
• Experience providing personal care and mobility support
• Ability to read and speak English to a reasonable standard

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care and mobility
• Hoisting, physiotherapy, PEG feed/medication
• Support outings and daily activities
• Medication prompting/administering
• Dressing/undressing, bathroom assistance
• Transportation and moving safely
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality, health and safety
