Job summary

UKCIL in Frome is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant for a self-employed role to support a 40-year-old sister with very severe ME. The client is bed-bound and mobility is extremely limited; shifts start with a 3-hour block and may extend, with options for Saturdays or Mondays from 9:15 am to 9:30 pm and occasional Thursday evenings.

The role requires meal preparation, personal care, light domestic tasks, and medication administration.

Qualifications

• Experience with bedbound clients and ability to manage fatigue.
• Empathy, patience and reliability in caregiving.
• Local to Frome or nearby to cover shifts.

Responsibilities

• Personal care including toileting from the bed.
• Meal preparation and spoon feeding.
• Light domestic tasks and medication administration as needed.
