Job summary

Penderels Trust is seeking a caring support worker in Dunholme to assist with personal care, meal preparation and household tasks. You will help with daily activities, social engagement and attending appointments as needed, with DBS disclosure required.

Flexible weekend coverage is available; car driver preferred but not essential. Roles involve 11 hours weekly plus 24 hours alternate weekends. Training will be provided, and you will work as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Be honest, reliable, trustworthy and punctual.
• To work as part of a team.
• Previous caring experience is not essential, however you should have a genuine interest in supporting people with a disability/illness to achieve their goals.
• Candidates must be 18 or over due to administering medication.
• DBS check required and costs covered.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and/or prompts (e.g., toileting, bathing, dressing).
• Assist with cooking/meal preparation and eating.
• Support the individual with medications as needed.
• Assist with household chores and general homemaking.
• Support attendance for appointments (hospital/doctors) as required.
