Job summary

Penderels Trust is seeking a reliable Personal Assistant to support a lady in Rochford with daily activities, appointments, and community engagement. The role focuses on enabling independence, companionship, and respectful, patient assistance.

You will accompany her to activities, assist with meals and medications, and help with light housework while using a computer when needed. DBS disclosure is required and costs covered.

Qualifications

• Computer literacy and comfort with using technology.
• Warm, friendly, patient and understanding approach to support.
• Genuine interest in helping others and promoting independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cooking/meal preparation and eating.
• Support with medication prompting and reminders.
• Help with household chores and general homemaking.
• Attend appointments with the individual and accompany them in the community.
• Encourage participation in sporting and leisure activities.
• Support social interactions and friendships; promote independence.
• Develop a trusting one-to-one working relationship.
• Assist with managing paperwork and correspondence.
