Job summary

Penderels Trust in Burnham-on-Crouch is seeking a compassionate personal assistant to support a lady with anxiety, panic attacks and fibromyalgia. You will help with personal care, meal prep, light housework and accompany to appointments and activities.

This role requires reliability, empathy and teamwork. Hours are 8 per week, mainly Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays 2pm–4pm. A DBS check is required; costs are covered. Prior care experience is helpful but not essential.

Qualifications

• Be honest, reliable and punctual.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy. No social media misuse in relation to the job role.
• Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Willing to follow instructions accurately and show empathy.
• Prior caring experience is not essential, but genuine interest in supporting people with a disability/illness.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and prompt with daily activities (toileting, bathing, dressing).
• Assist with cooking and meal preparation; help with eating and drinking.
• Help with household chores and general homemaking.
