Job summary

UKCIL Ltd. is seeking a Personal Assistant to support a 26-year-old ambulatory wheelchair user in Kings Lynn. The role is 16 hours per week, with flexibility for more hours as needed to cover appointments and activities.

You will help with day-to-day tasks, personal care, medications, meal preparation, household duties and community outings. The ideal candidate is reliable, patient, kind and able to work at the employer's pace.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting someone with complex needs or chronic illness is a plus.
• Able to work calmly and flexibly at the pace of the employer.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care needs including showering and dressing.
• Support with medications and administration, including controlled meds.
• Help with laundry, meals, hydration, and light household tasks.
• Support to attend appointments and outings; run errands as needed.
• Prepare the assistance dog for outings and ensure safety.
• Promote independence, wellbeing and choice; adapt to changing health needs.
