Job summary

UKCIL Ltd. in Norwich NR1 is seeking a caring Personal Assistant to support a wheelchair-using woman with health needs. The role combines personal care, meal prep, and daily living tasks to maintain wellbeing, independence and quality of life.

You will work 15 hours per week, daytime hours between 11:30am and 10pm, with occasional extra hours for sickness or holiday cover. A driving licence and ability to travel with the client are required, and a DBS check and references will be requested.

Qualifications

• Previous care or Personal Assistant experience.
• Confidence providing personal care.
• Experienced preparing fresh gluten-free meals.
• A reliable, flexible and punctual approach, with respect for confidentiality and boundaries.
• Confidence using a smartphone, WhatsApp, shared calendars and electronic rotas.
• A full driving licence, reliable transport and appropriate business insurance.
• To be comfortable around a cat and physically able to handle a foldable wheelchair following training.

Responsibilities

• Support health, wellbeing, activities, travel and community participation.
• Provide personal care when needed.
• Meal preparation and gluten-free handling.
• Monitor fatigue and CGM alerts; support intake.
• Assist with wheelchair handling and transport.
• Light domestic tasks and home organization.
• Medication prompts and appointment management.
