Job summary

Ideal for All is seeking a friendly Personal Assistant to support a visually impaired client in Worcester. The role is part-time (up to 10 hours a week) with flexible days and a focus on independence, access to information, and everyday tasks.

The successful candidate will describe information, assist with shopping, household tasks, travel, and online platforms, while maintaining a supportive, respectful rapport and safeguarding privacy.

Qualifications

• None required, but to be fluent in English

Responsibilities

• Describing visual information and reading letters, labels and other printed materials.
• Helping to organise paperwork and important documents.
• Supporting with household tasks, including cleaning, meal preparation and laundry.
• Assisting with shopping, both in person and online, including locating items in shops and reading product information.
• Providing sighted-guide assistance in unfamiliar locations.
• Supporting travel and access to new places using different forms of transport.
• Helping to make documents and information more accessible.
• Providing practical support with technology that requires visual access.
• Assisting with social media and online platforms to help maintain friendships and access communities.
• Supporting access to training, employment and other opportunities.
• Helping with basic garden maintenance.
