Job summary

Ideal for All is seeking a Personal Assistant to support a young woman in gaining independence and confidence outside the home. The role involves social activities, community access and personal care with patience and respect for her autonomy.

The PA will support in managing daily tasks, transfers, meals suitable for swallowing difficulties, and communicating with a non-verbal user via an iPad app. DBS will be completed prior to starting.

Qualifications

• No specific formal qualifications required, DBS check is essential.
• NVQ Level 2+ in Adult Social Care would be beneficial.
• Commitment to patient, respectful communication and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Support to access the community, socialise, attend activities and events.
• Provide personal care including transfers, dressing and undressing.
• Assist with food, medicines and saliva management with sensitivity.
