Job summary

Independent Lives is seeking a caring Personal Assistant to support a 69-year-old woman to maintain independence and social life. The PA will assist with personal care, accompany her to community activities, and join pool sessions to support hydrotherapy exercises.

The role includes light home tasks, companionship, and ensuring her calendar is organised. Must be patient, reliable, and comfortable in a home and community setting, including a smoking environment.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and patient approach to care.
• Reliable, sensible and trustworthy personality.
• Ability to follow instructions and work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal grooming and daily living support.
• Assist with mobility and moving/handling tasks.
• Support with medication prompting and hydration.
• Arrange and accompany to social activities and community events.
• Assist with home tasks as needed.
• Drive Motability vehicle (manual) and assist with wheelchair transfer.
