Job summary

Penderels Trust is seeking a dedicated in-home care assistant to support a young woman with ADHD and Autism. You will help with personal care, meals, medications and attending appointments, while encouraging participation in activities and social events.

Flexibility is key as hours may vary; driving and a car with business insurance are required. DBS disclosure will be provided and you will share 35 hours per week with another PA.

Qualifications

• Honesty, reliability and discretion are essential.
• Strong listening skills with non-judgemental support.
• Patient, empathetic and able to adapt to daily needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and practical support at home, including bathing and dressing.
• Assist with cooking, meals, medications and household tasks.
• Support to attend appointments and activities, including travel.
• Help with shopping, paperwork, gardening and light chores.
• Encourage social activities and maintain a trusting one-to-one relationship.
