Job summary

Penderels Trust is seeking a compassionate care helper to support a young person with cerebral palsy in daily social activities. You will assist with personal care, mobility, meal preparation, and accompany her on outings, including travel by bus or train. A non-smoker is preferred and experience with special needs is essential.

The role requires reliability, discretion, and the ability to build a trusting one-to-one relationship, with flexible hours including evenings and school holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous caring experience essential.
• Experience in childcare or special needs is essential.
• Willingness to perform personal care tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support and/or prompt with personal care; toileting, bathing, dressing.
• Assist with cooking/meal prep and eating; enable daily activities.
• Develop a trusting one-to-one relationship with the individual.
