Job summary

Independent Lives is seeking an enthusiastic Personal Assistant to support a young woman with a learning disability, autism and complex emotional needs. You will assist with daily life, including personal care and accessing the local community, at times requiring stamina and patience.

Roadworthy car is required for travel to work and for trips out. Training will be provided; you must be reliable, have good English, and be a team player. Females only.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK is required.
• Willingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check if required.

Responsibilities

• Support a young person with daily life including personal care and accessing the local community.
• Follow a Positive Behaviour Support plan to improve the young person’s quality of life.
• Be respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality.
• Be reliable with good timekeeping.
• Follow instructions and/or work on own initiative.
