North Yorkshire Council is offering a part-time Passenger Assistant role to support transport operations across North Yorkshire. The position involves ensuring safe passenger journeys, assisting with boarding and alighting, and following care plans for emergency medication where trained.

The role operates on a split shift (07:00–09:30 and 15:00–17:30) with training provided. Experience is beneficial, and a comprehensive training package is offered.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills for connecting with carers and colleagues.
• Experience in caregiving or similar roles is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to follow care plans and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure passengers board, travel, and alight safely.
• Ensure safety equipment is used correctly; training provided.
• Assist with emergency medication administration as trained; follow care plans.
• Communicate with carers and colleagues to support passenger needs.
