Bridge Oak Care Homes in Burnley is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to join our Dove Court team on a permanent, part-time basis (22 hours per week, includes alternate weekends). The role offers £12.95 per hour and a supportive environment focused on person-centred care and dignity for residents.

You’ll help residents with daily living, monitor well-being, support activities, and keep accurate records under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living activities (washing, toileting, dressing)
• Assist with care needs (physical, emotional, spiritual) while preserving dignity
• Monitor residents with limited mobility or learning difficulties and use aids
• Observe and record care planning needs and complete daily records
• Support residents in social activities and hobbies within the home
• Answer nurse call system, door, and phone promptly and appropriately
• Report wellbeing of residents under supervision of senior staff
• Carry out regular welfare checks and provide refreshments as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and order of rooms and equipment
• Record participation and feedback to ensure engagement
