Job summary

Responsibilities

• Supporting the employer with encouragement in gaining independence
• Enabling the employer to interact socially in their community
• Providing support to the employer whilst shopping and attending activities of interest
• Supporting the employer to develop independent living skills
• Providing companionship in the employer's home, including conversation and social interaction
• Encouraging the employer to attend appointments
• Ensuring the employer's safety during working hours
• Carrying out other reasonable tasks as requested
• Ensuring compliance with Data Protection Act
• Being mindful of safeguarding issues and reporting concerns to Carmarthenshire County Council (01267 228751)
• Contacting the GP, Social Worker or Local Authority should medical assistance be needed
