Job summary

Disability North is seeking an experienced female personal assistant to support Karen at home and in the community in Newcastle upon Tyne. The role involves personal care, household tasks, light cooking, laundry, and helping with outings and shopping. A driver with business insurance is preferred; flexibility to cover weekends is required.

The successful candidate will engage with Karen’s family and dog, share a good sense of humour, and help maintain a warm, supportive home environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with showering, hair washing and other personal care
• Help with household tasks including laundry, bed changing, hoovering and cleaning
• Assist with simple meal preparation or meals when needed
• Support Karen on outings and community activities
• Driver with business insurance preferred
