CHEC is hiring an Optical Assistant to join clinics across the UK. You will work with the clinical team to run eye care clinics, perform diagnostic examinations and maintain high standards of care for patients.

The role emphasizes empathy, excellent communication, and the ability to learn new systems while prioritising patient safety. 37.5 hours weekly, in a fixed-term 12 month contract, with a strong focus on patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pre- and post-operative clinicals.
• Act as theatre runner/escort to support patients and theatre team.

• Ensure all equipment is checked and ready for use.
• Prepare all areas prior to clinical activities.
• Maintain good records and high standards of patient care.
