Job summary

Your Life Your Way in Colne is seeking a caring Care Support Assistant to help a female client with learning and sensory needs. The role provides person-centred support, promotes independence, and includes personal care, meal preparation, and accompaniment to activities. Training is provided, with ongoing support from the team.

The position is 24 hours per week, with 2 waking nights (8pm–8am). A full UK driving licence is advantageous, and DBS checks are required.

Qualifications

• Previous care experience is helpful but not required; full training provided.
• Good communication skills and empathy are essential.
• Basic IT and record-keeping abilities are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support client with personal care and daily living activities.
• Encourage independence and accompany client to activities.
• Assist with meals, home upkeep, and safety.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Help client attend appointments and community activities.
• Administer medication when required.
