Job summary

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NEPT role involves assisting patients from home into the ambulance and transporting them safely to appointments, then returning them home. You will keep detailed journey records on the PDA and Daily Log Sheet and perform vehicle checks with the Fleet Team.

You may work alone or in a two-person team, wearing the issued uniform and following all policies. The role requires a valid UK driving licence (full/manual) with up to 3 penalty points and at least 2

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Full (manual) UK driving licence with a maximum of 3 penalty points.
• Hold licence for a minimum of 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Helping patients out of their home into the ambulance (lifting involved).
• Transporting patients safely to their appointment and back home.
• Returning the patient home and ensuring they are settled in before leaving.
• Keeping accurate records of journeys on the PDA and Daily Log Sheet.
• Carrying out vehicle and equipment checks with Fleet Team; report defects or stock issues.
• Maintain regular communication with Control Team during shifts and report progress or delays.
• Wear issued uniform and follow all Policies and Procedures.
